Illumination
The Islamic art of Illumination presents an amazing mixture of Islamic patterns and consists of different kinds of decoration. This is a very common art in the Muslim world.
The motifs that are used in the Illumination designs take the shapes of plants and animals in nature. It is also the widely used motif in Rumi and architectural embellishment.
Illumination is non-figurative illumination whose geometric, decorations and intricate calligraphy have flourished and traditionally adorned the margins of holy books and epic poems, as well as being an art form in its own right.
